Trestle bridge near Paisley destroyed by fire

South Bruce OPP are investigating after they received a report of a fire along the rail trail in Greenock Township.

The incident happened Saturday, close to 5:30pm. Officers responded with members of the Paisley, Saugeen Shores and Walkerton Fire Departments to find a trestle bridge fully engulfed by flames.

Located east of the Brant-Greenock Town line, cement blocks have been put in place to block access to the damaged bridge.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
