Goderich getting ready for outdoor dining

The Mayor of Goderich expects restaurants in the town will be able to open their patios for outdoor dining within a couple of weeks under the Province's guidelines for re-opening.

John Grace says the pandemic has been difficult for restaurants.

And opening up patios will give Goderich a new look and provide the town's restaurants with an opportunity to participate in something new and will create some vibrancy in the downtown area.

“It also has brought some new life and some new dynamics into how we deliver the dining experience and that's outdoor patios. It happened last year, very successful. We see it moving forward to be a really huge success for our restaurants in the future,” said Grace.

Grace adds the pandemic has forced people to be creative and a number of changes that came about because of the pandemic were successful and will continue going forward.
