Police lay charges following investigation into single vehicle crash

Perth County OPP have laid charges against a 20-year-old Waterloo native following a recent single vehicle crash.

On June 5th just after 11:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a single vehicle crash near Perth Road 119 in the Township of Perth East. Police spoke with the driver, and an Approved Screening Device was used.

The accused was charged with Careless Driving, Novice Driver Blood Alcohol Content Above Zero and Class G1 Licence Holder- Unaccompanied by Qualified Driver.

The accused had their license suspended for three days.

No one was injured.

Police are reminding drivers that anyone aged 21 or younger or drivers of any age with a G1, G2, M1 and M2 licence must not have any presence of alcohol in their blood when behind the wheel.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
