Owen Sound homeowner interrupts break and enter

Owen Sound Police say on Friday, shortly after 7 pm, Westside homeowners returned home to find that their residence had been broken into, and the person responsible was still in their basement.

As the homeowner contacted police, a male party allegedly fled the residence. Police located the male within the neighbourhood a short time later.

Following a short scuffle, police say the suspect was taken into custody but, not before spitting blood into an officer’s face.

The 27-year-old Owen Sound man will appear in Court next month to answer to the charges of; break and enter, mischief, assault police officer and assault with intent to resist arrest.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
