Wellington North Council going forward with massive capital infrastructure program

Wellington North is headed into what Mayor Andy Lennox calls "an unprecedented" capital program in 2021.

New growth in the community is responsible for some of the spending which totals $15-million.

Lennox says the spending will go to maintaining existing infrastructure as well as building new infrastructure for the future.

Projects include major road construction in Arthur and Mount Forest, upgrades to the Arthur community centre ice surface and refurbishing the Mount Forest water tower.
