Field party near Chesley leads to COVID-19 outbreak

The Grey Bruce Health Unit is declaring a community outbreak of COVID-19 linked to a field party near Chesley.

The party was July 3rd and officials warn anyone who attended is considered a high-risk contact.

There were about 25 people at the party, all older teenagers and young adults. They are from different municipalities in Grey and Bruce and already there are five confirmed cases linked to the party.

Anyone who was there should isolate and be tested immediately.

Officials are urging people to avoid gatherings if they or someone in their household has symptoms of COVID or are awaiting test results. If you are a close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 you are also urged to isolate.
