OPP investigate fatal pedestrian collision near Dundalk

Grey Bruce OPP are investigating after a fatal collision took place this morning involving a pedestrian west of Dundalk.

At 12:44am, first responders attended the collision scene located on Grey Road 9.

The preliminary investigation has determined a sedan was travelling westbound on Grey Road 9 near Ida Street when the vehicle collided with a pedestrian that was laying on the roadway.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation with assistance from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement (TIME) Team. More information will be released when it becomes available.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
