Twelve new COVID-19 cases added in Midwestern Ontario Wednesday.

Grey Bruce Public Health added another ten new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, all in Owen Sound. There are 46 active cases, and four residents are hospitalized due to the virus. The pandemic death toll in Grey Bruce increased by one to 20.

Huron Perth Public Health added two new cases Wednesday in North Perth. There are sixteen active cases, but no hospitalizations due to COVID-19.

Public Health Officials in Wellington Dufferin Guelph report seven new cases but none in Wellington, where there are seven active cases. Across the region there are four people in hospital.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
