Mapleton Township resumes in person service

The Township of Mapleton is ready to get back to in person service, with public health protocols in place.

A media release says increasing vaccination rates mean The Township of Mapleton Administration Office will re-open to members of the public on September 7th, 2021.

The township encourages residents to call before visiting to ensure the correct staff are available to assist and avoid unnecessary waiting.

The Township of Mapleton will also resume in person council meetings beginning September 14th, 2021.

Meetings will resume on a roadshow basis, to encourage social distancing, with the following schedule.

September 14th at 7pm– Moorefield Community Centre September 28th at 1pm– Moorefield Community Centre October 12th at 7pm– Alma Community Centre October 26th at 1pm– Alma Community Centre November 9th at 7pm– PMD Arena November 23rd at 1pm– PMD Arena

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
