Police charge 2 people in connection with theft from local business

Perth County OPP have charged 2 people in connection with a theft from a local business.

On July 30th just after 1 a.m., police stopped a vehicle after a traffic offence on Wallace Avenue North in Listowel. Police identified the 2 individuals in the vehicle as being previously involved in a theft from a business in Monkton on June 8th. Officers arrested and charged a 44-year-old from Kitchener and a 28-year-old from Waterloo with theft under $5,000.

Both of the accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charge.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
