UPDATE: South Bruce OPP investigate fatal collision

One person has died following a collision in Brockton Sunday afternoon.

South Bruce OPP said a crash was reported just before 3 p.m., at the intersection of Highway 9 and Bruce Road 3, west of Walkerton. Members of the Walkerton Fire Department and Bruce County Paramedic Service were also called to the scene.

Few details are known at this point but provincial police said more information will be released once it becomes available.

Highway 9 between Greenock-Brant Road and Sideroad 5 was closed as police opened an investigation. A section of Bruce Road 3 between Bruce Road 2 and Concession 14 was also closed for a time.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
