Another slight increase in Midwestern Ontario COVID-19 cases

A few more new COVID-19 cases were added in Midwestern Ontario on Wednesday.

The Grey-Bruce Health Unit added 2 new cases, 1 in Kincardine and 1 in Saugeen First Nation. There are 27 active cases with an outbreak continuing at Kelso Villa Retirement Home.

Huron-Perth Public Health added 2 new cases, both in Perth East. There are 17 active cases with an outbreak ongoing at Knollcrest Lodge.

Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health added 17 new cases, with 2 confirmed in Wellington. There are 8 active cases in Wellington County with no active outbreaks.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
