More new COVID-19 cases logged in Midwestern Ontario before the weekend

A few more COVID-19 cases have been logged in Midwestern Ontario prior to the weekend.

The Grey-Bruce Health Unit is reporting 5 new cases. There are 24 active cases and the outbreak continues at Kelso Villa Retirement Home.

Huron-Perth Public Health added one new case, in Morris-Turnberry. There are 19 active cases and the outbreak at Knollcrest Lodge is ongoing.

Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health added 24 new cases, with 2 in Wellington County. There are 92 active cases, 10 of which are in Wellington. There are no active outbreaks in the area.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
