COVID-19 cases rise in Midwestern Ontario

There are new cases of COVID-19 reported in Midwestern Ontario today.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit logged 4 new cases Monday, 2 in South Bruce, and 2 in South Bruce Peninsula. Currently, there are 21 active cases and one active outbreak continuing in the Kelso Villa Retirement Home.

Huron Perth Public Health is reporting 14 new cases. 4 in Morris Turnberry, 4 in Perth East, 4 in Stratford, and one each in North Perth and North Huron. There are 27 active cases. There is one active outbreak ongoing at Knollcrest Lodge.

Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health added many new cases over the weekend. Since Friday, there have been 50 new cases confirmed. 14 of which are in Wellington County. There are 104 active cases, 18 are in Wellington.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
