New COVID-19 cases reported in Midwestern Ontario

COVID-19 cases have increased in Midwestern Ontario.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit is reporting 2 new cases of COVID-19, 1 in Georgian Bluffs, and 1 in South Bruce Peninsula. There are 16 active cases. There is one ongoing outbreak at the Kelso Villa Retirement Home.

Huron Perth Public Health is reporting 7 new COVID-19 cases. 2 are located in Stratford, 2 in North Huron, and 1 each in Huron East, Morris Turnberry, and Perth East. In total, there are 26 active cases and one ongoing outbreak at Knollcrest Lodge.

Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph added 10 new cases of the virus, including 4 news cases in Wellington County. Out of the 106 active cases in the region, 26 are in Wellington County. There are no active outbreaks.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
