Handful of new COVID-19 cases logged in Midwestern Ontario

A few more cases of COVID-19 were logged in Midwestern Ontario heading into the Labour Day weekend.

The Grey-Bruce Health Unit added 2 new cases today, one each in Kincardine and Blue Mountains. There are 18 active cases, and the outbreak at the Kelso Villa Retirement Home in Owen Sound has been declared over.

Huron-Perth Public Health added 3 new cases, 1 each in South Huron, St. Marys and Stratford. There are 28 active cases and the outbreak at Knollcrest Lodge continues.

Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health logged 18 new cases, 6 of which are in Wellington County. Of the 129 active cases in that region, 33 are in Wellington. There are no active outbreaks.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
