Storm destroys local farm north of Kingsbridge

Huron County Warden, Glen McNeil, says last night's storm caused a significant amount of damage to a farm north of Kingsbridge.

McNeil says around 4:30 yesterday afternoon the storm blew through a farm belonging to Eugene Frayne.

"Eugene Frayne has a farm north of Kingsbridge and unfortunately he lost his hog barn, his bank barn and a portion of his drying operation and all of the neighbours certainly assisting, however, there's a tremendous amount of destruction."

The storm hasn't been confirmed as a tornado at this point, but he believes it will be.

"The destruction was considerably worse than what went through Port Albert early Monday morning and I'm sure that will be investigated and verified in the next day or two."
