London resident charged following incident in Goderich

Huron County OPP have laid charges against a London native after a weekend incident in Goderich.

On September 11th at 9:16 a.m., officers responded to a business on Victoria Street in Goderich after receiving reports about a person causing a disturbance. Police arrived and the accused approached officers in what police described as an "assaultive manner."

The accused then allegedly did not comply with the officer's requests and they were placed under arrest.

As a result, a 33-year-old from London is charged with Assault a Peace Officer, Causing a Disturbance and Fail to Comply with Recognizance. The accused was released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for October 4th at the Ontario Court of Justice in Goderich.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
