COVID-19 cases rise in Midwestern Ontario

Midwestern Ontario’s COVID-19 case counts increased Wednesday.

The Grey Bruce health Unit added one new case of COVID-19 Wednesday, located in Hanover. There are 17 active cases, and two residents are in hospital with the virus.

Huron Perth Public Health added ten new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday. Three cases are in Stratford, two in Perth East, and one each in Central Huron, Goderich, Morris Turnberry, South Huron, and North Perth. There is one ongoing outbreak located at Knollcrest Lodge long-term care home.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public health added four new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday, but none are located in Wellington. There are 35 active cases in Wellington, and the virus has lead to the deaths of 39 residents in Wellington.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
