Police announce road closures for Snowbirds airshow in Stratford

Police will be closing some roadways for a few hours today for the Canadian Armed Forces Snowbirds Airshow in Stratford around the Stratford Municipal Airport.

Perth County OPP are advising that from 2 p.m. this afternoon until 8 p.m. this evening, Road 111 from Perth Line 37 (Vivian Line) to Line 40 and Line 40 from Perth Road 119 to Road 110, except for those using field parking, which can only be accessed from Road 110, will be closed.

Additionally, Perth Road 119 from Line 36 to Line 42 will be closed, and through traffic on Perth Road 119 will be detoured along Line 36, Road 122, and Line 42.

Police are urging the public to obey all closures and detours and refrain from parking on roadways to ensure public safety.

Any vehicles parked that obstruct the flow of traffic will be towed at the owner's expense and the owner could also face fines.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
