Hanover police officer hurt in head-on collision

A Hanover police officer needed treatment in hospital for minor injuries when his cruiser was hit head-on by a pick-up truck.

In a tweet this morning, police say the collision happened Saturday evening in downtown Hanover.

The white F350 involved was reportedly stolen from York Region and fled the scene.

The officer was treated and released from Hanover and District Hospital.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
