Multiple pop-up vaccine clinics in Bruce, Grey

The Grey Bruce Health Unit is ending the week with multiple opportunities to walk in for a COVID-19 vaccine.

There is a pop-up clinic at the Wiarton Community Centre between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. Wednesday. There are also pop-up clinics planned for Friday at the P and H Centre in Hanover from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Dundalk Community Centre between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

And a pop-up clinic is set for Saturday at the Ripley Fall Fair between 9 a.m. and noon.

The rate of people in the age group 12 and over with two doses has reached 78.5 percent, well above the provincial average of 69.7 percent.

In its latest summary late Tuesday, the Grey Bruce Health Unit reported no new cases of COVID-19 with 19 active cases being monitored.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
