Hydro One is reporting outages that are affecting over 12,000 customers around the Owen Sound area in northern Grey County and further north on the Bruce Peninsula.
The outages also skirt around the Sauble Beach area.
Hydro One hasn't listed why the power was knocked out but restoration times are listed as in the next couple of hours.
The outages have forced the closure of three schools on the Bruce Peninsula. Peninsula Shores District and St. Edmunds Public are closed as is Bruce Peninsula District in Lion's Head.
