Huron Hospice ready to launch annual 50/50 fundraiser

Huron Shores Hospice is ready to launch their annual 50/50 fundraiser.

In a release, the hospice says the 50/50 will run from September 30th to October 29th.

To purchase tickets, you can visit their website and get 100 tickets for $40, 40 tickets for $20 and 5 tickets for $10.

The release notes that the province covers half of the hospice's 1.2 million dollar operating costs, but the other half is covered by donors and fundraising money. Donations assist the hospice in providing meals, building upkeep and other amenities to residents.

The release adds there are other ways to support the hospice if the 50/50 isn't appealing to people. The hospice is accepting donations to their Wings of a Dove Christmas program or donations in memory of family or friends who have passed away.
