Huron Perth Public Health monitoring uptick in COVID cases related to schools

Huron Perth Public Health is monitoring several cases of COVID-19 related to schools across the two counties.

The latest cases include three involving FE Madill in Wingham, one affecting Listowel District Secondary and one involving Goderich District Collegiate.

There were also four cases confirmed affecting Listowel District on September 22 and one on September 17.

Huron Perth Public Health has listed the situation in Listowel as an active outbreak.

However, at this time, no class closures are in affect at any of the secondary schools.

There is also one case each affecting Exeter Public and Central Perth Elementary being monitored.

In the Huron Perth Catholic District School Board, there is one case being monitored in connection with St. Columban Catholic Elementary and one class closure has been listed there.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
