Person arrested for allegedly driving on new Goderich pedestrian boardwalk

A driver from Huron County is facing a charge after allegedly driving a motorized vehicle on the new boardwalk in Goderich.

Huron OPP were called to the pedestrian boardwalk at the end of Cove Road the morning of September 29th.

According to a release, responding officers located the suspect vehicle on Courthouse Square, and shortly after speaking with the driver, conducted a sobriety test that resulted in the driver being arrested.

A 69-year-old from Goderich faces a charge of operating while impaired.

He has been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for November 1st in Goderich.
