Collision in Palmerston result of impaired driving

Ontario Provincial Police in Wellington County has charged a 60-year-old woman from Palmerston after a crash last Sunday.

Two vehicles collided at an intersection on Main Street at 10:30 p.m.

During the investigation, OPP suspected the driver was impaired by alcohol and sent for further testing.

No one was hurt during the collision, but the suspect has had her licensed suspended and vehicle impounded for seven days.

The suspect is expected to appear in court on October 29.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
