New COVID-19 cases reported in the region Monday

New COVID-19 cases are on the rise in Midwestern Ontario following the weekend. 

The Grey Bruce Health Unit added one new case of COVID-19 in Kincardine Monday. There are 13 active cases. Three residents are now hospitalized with the virus.

Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health added 23 new cases and reported four people hospitalized with the virus. 14 of those new cases were in Wellington, where there are 24 active cases.

Huron Perth Public Health  added 12 new cases since Friday, one in Huron East, one in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh, and 10 in Perth East. There are 22 active cases and one resident is hospitalized with the virus.

Ontario is reporting no new deaths from COVID-19 today. The province is logging 326 new infections - 231 of them in people who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.
