Precautionary Boil Water Advisory for some residents in Lion's Head

Lion's Head remains under a precautionary boil water advisory because of a water main break.

Around 10 p.m. Saturday, there was a water main break affecting 370 households. About 50 were without water. And with the loss of pressure, there was a risk of contamination.

While repairs were done Sunday morning, monitoring of water quality and frequent testing continues.

In a release from the Grey Bruce Health Unit, a Precautionary Boil Water Advisory is in place until there is confirmation that the water main is repaired and the water within the system is confirmed to be free from bacteria.

Residents affected by this Precautionary Boil Water Advisory will be notified when the Boil Water Notice has been lifted.
