Police investigate break-in at Kincardine home

Provincial police in South Bruce County conducted a brief road closure near Kincardine early Tuesday morning while they investigated a break-and-enter.

At around 5:30 a.m., the OPP responded to a break-and-enter in progress at a home along Concession Road 12. Officers arrived and were told that the suspects were still inside the residence.

Members of the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit assisted, but no one was found inside the home or in any out-buildings on the property.

Concession Road 12 was closed between Side Road 30 and Glen Cummings Road for a short time for public safety reasons police say.

Police say the incident is isolated and that there is no threat to the public.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
