Police investigate unsubstantiated threat at local school

South Bruce OPP recently investigated what was ultimately an unsubstantiated threat at a local school.

On November 17th at 3:08 p.m., officers received a call regarding threats made at a school in the Municipality of Brockton. Officers responded and determined the threat wasn't specific in nature. Police worked with members of the South Bruce OPP Major Crime Unit and school administrators to investigate the threat and ensure students and staff were safe. South Bruce OPP briefly increased police presence at the school to reassure staff and students that they were safe.

Following an investigation, police determined the threat was unsubstantiated. Police say this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
