Virtual public meeting for Bruce Road 6 East reconstruction

A public information Consultation zoom meeting is planned today for Bruce County's proposed rehabilitation of Bruce Road 6 East in Mildmay.

The Transportation & Environmental Services Department has amended the scope of the project due to cost increases.

The preliminary design looked at construction from George Street in Mildmay to Grey Road 10, but the cost for that has jumped significantly.

The most significant increase was due to additional adjustments required to the vertical curve of the road than had been previously designed.

Now the project has been amended to rehabilitate BR6 East from Mildmay to East of Deemerton.

The project is planned for construction in 2022 and the Environmental Assessment process is continuing.

Tonight's zoom meeting starts at 6:30 p.m.
