Goderich council to review short-term rental by-law

Goderich Mayor, John Grace, says council has formed a task force to look into the issue of short term rentals or AirB&Bs in the town.

Grace says the task force consists of two councillors and four members of the public.

“Based on the present bylaw, it's illegal to have AirB&Bs or short term rentals, but that bylaw is under review and has not been activated, I don't think, ever,” said Grace.

Grace adds he expects the task force to come back to council with a report and a recommendation by the end of January or early February.
