Police make arrest following break-and-enter at local business

Perth County OPP have arrested and charged a 26-year-old from Howick Township following a recent break-and-enter at a local business.

On November 24th, two different parties contacted police. The first victim reported a break-and-enter that had occurred at a business on Main Street West in Listowel. The suspect allegedly broke into the business by smashing a window early that morning, and then stole an undetermined amount of cash and alcohol. The second victim reported a mischief that was committed on Main Street East, also in Listowel. The same suspect in question allegedly entered a trailer in a parking lot, causing damage to items inside.

Following an investigation, police identified and arrested a suspect on November 28th and charged the 26-year-old from Howick Township with Break-and-Enter and Mischief. The suspect was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
