Seven face drug and weapons charges

A months long investigation involving several branches of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Owen Sound Police Service (OSPS) has resulted in seven arrests.

Over the course of several days the joint forces executed nine search warrants in Owen Sound, Georgian Bluffs, and the Town of Saugeen Shores.

Police seized a number of weapons, cash, and drugs, including a large quantity of suspected cocaine, totalling  approximately $65,000.

Seven individuals, ranging from 21-58 years-old, face drug and weapons charges as well as participating in a criminal organization.

They will appear in court on Monday, December 6.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
