Man arrested at the Owen Sound Farmer's Market

The Owen Sound Police Service (OSPS) responded to the Owen Sound Farmer's Market after several calls reported a disturbance.

According to police, witnesses described a man threatening another man with a metal pipe.

"They observed the assailant threatening the man with the pipe while shouting threats and obscenities as they ran through the Market shopping area," an OSPS release said.

The pipe was dumped by the accused, but later found by officers and taken into evidence.

Both men were located at a nearby restaurant where the accused was arrested.

A 35 year-old faces several charges including: uttering threats, causing a disturbance, and multiple weapons charges.

He is expected to appear in court on Thursday, December 16.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
