Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board elects 2022 chair

The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board elected the Chair and Vice-Chair at their annual meeting this week.

Mary Helen Van Loon was re-elected to the position of Chair for a second term. She represents St. Marys, West Perth and Perth South.

Van Loon says after a year of changes and challenges, they are slowly returning to normal. She says the board learned lots about their ability to adapt, regroup and move forward while keeping  the focus on the needs and formation of students.

Tina Doherty was re-elected to the position of Vice-Chair. Vice-Chair Doherty represents the area of Stratford, this is Ms. Doherty’s third term as Vice-Chair.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
