Local council to explore installing sidewalk on well-used path

Bluewater Mayor, Paul Klopp, says council will look at the possibility of putting a sidewalk from the Foodland Store at the south end of Bayfield to Cameron Street.

Klopp says when the Foodland store was built, he believes there was some discussion about sidewalk with the MTO.

“When this building was put there, I understand there was some discussion with MTO and for a combination of a lot of reasons, there was no sidewalk put in. We realize it's a concern and we're going to try to fit it into the budget this coming season.”

Right now, it can be a challenge, particularly in bad weather, for cyclists or people with a stroller to get to the Foodland Store.
