Searches result in numerous drug charges

A number of people face drug related charges after Grey-Bruce OPP used search warrants to search properties on November 25 and December 7.

On November 25, officers along with members of the Grey-Bruce and Huron-Perth Community Street Crimes Units, and the OPP West Region Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant on a property located in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.

On December 7, police executed another search warrant on assets seized during the initial investigation.

110 grams of suspected cocaine and a quantity of suspected methamphetamine was seized.

The estimated street value of the seized drugs is $11,000.

As a result, a total of 4 individuals face numerous drug related charges.

All accused parties have been released from police custody with future court dates scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound.

The charges have yet to be proven in court.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
