Police identify victims in fatal crash

Police have released the identities of a pair of victims who tragically lost their lives following a fatal crash in Georgian Bluffs.

On November 30th at 8:30 a.m., Grey-Bruce OPP officers responded alongside members of the Inter Township Fire Department and Grey County EMS to a report of a two-vehicle crash along Grey Road 17 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs. A passenger in one of the vehicles was taken to London in life-threatening condition, where they later succumbed to those injuries. The driver of the same vehicle was also taken to a local hospital in life-threatening condition, where they were pronounced deceased. The victims have been identified as 3-year-old Erika Joseph and 27-year-old Brandon Joseph of Georgian Bluffs.

Police continue to investigate the crash alongside the OPP West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
