Local health units preparing for more third dose appointments

Starting Monday, everyone over 18 can book an appointment for a COVID-19 vaccine booster.

In order to get a booster, three months must have passed since receiving the second dose.

There are various ways to book in the local area.

In Huron and Perth, information is provided on the Huron Perth Public Health website or can be booked through 1-833-753-2098.

In Grey and Bruce, residents can book through the Ontario vaccination portal or the provincial vaccine centre at 1-833-943-3900.

In Wellington County, public health has set up the booking process here or by calling 1-844-780-0202 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Ontario reported 4,177 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, more than two-thirds of them in fully vaccinated people.

It's the highest daily tally since April 23rd.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
