Council approves re-zoning request from Compass Minerals

Central Huron council has approved a re-zoning request from Compass Minerals that will allow them to put two brine wells on Central Huron's side of Mill Road.

Central Huron Mayor, Jim Ginn, explains, Mill Road is the boundary between Goderich and Central Huron.

"So they're requesting re-zoning to allow them to put two brine wells across Mill Road, which is the boundary between Goderich and Central Huron. So they would like to put two brine wells in Central Huron and then pipe it back to the Evaporator Plant."

Central Huron council approved the request.
