OPP make arrest after foot chase

The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested a 19-year-old in the Town of South Bruce Peninsula.

On December 30 at approximately 11:45 p.m., OPP responded to reports of an individual breaking into vehicles on John Street.

After following a tip from the public, officers located the suspect on Berford Street.

A 19-year-old male tried to flee from the police but was arrested a short time later.

The man faces a number of charges including trespassing, resisting arrest, and several drug and weapon charges.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
