Volunteers needed for vaccine hub in Chesley

The Grey Bruce Health Unit and Bruce Power are organizing mass vaccine hubs in Chesley at 60 Industrial Park Road at the warehouse.

Clinics will run January 5, 7, 10, 11 and 13 and will be open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.

The goal is to immunize 3600 individuals per day.

With the mass clinics there is also a need for volunteers.

The Grey Bruce Health Unit has set up a website link at gbhu.volunteerlocal.com where people can sign up. Roles include screeners, navigators and cleaners and proof of vaccination is needed.

Volunteer shifts are split into two different slots, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Among the many vaccination clinics, there is also a Port Elgin Hub at the Missionary Church.

All volunteers are asked to use the on-line software so they can self-schedule their shifts.
