Organizers cancel WinterFest in South Huron

This year's South Huron Family Day WinterFest has been cancelled.

Co-Chairs Jeff Musser and Dave Frayne say they're disappointed to have to cancel the event for 2022 but add, it's the right thing to do in order to keep people safe during the latest wave in the pandemic and given the impact of the recent world-wide spread of the Omicron variant.

Family Day in Ontario is Monday, February 21.

South Huron Family Day WinterFest began as a partnership of community groups and activities in 2011 and continued for ten years.

More than a dozen community groups worked in partnership, between 2011 and 2020, to create this single-day, family-friendly winter carnival for Exeter and area.

The Co-Chairs say they're hoping to be able to host the Family Day festival again next year.
