Squalls persist in the area

Snow squall warnings are in place for most of the region.

There are white out conditions reported throughout the region.

Most area highways are partly to mostly snow covered and slippery with visibility reduced to poor in open areas.

There are no road closures to report at this time.

Environment Canada states that the squalls are expected to persist into Tuesday morning.

Some areas could get a total of 40 to 50 cm in accumulation with this storm system.

Both Bruce and Grey County have declared a significant weather event, which means plows are having trouble keeping snowfall and drifts cleared from the roads.
