Police now investigating a homicide in Shelburne

Ontario Provincial Police are now calling the death of woman in Shelburne, a homicide.

Officers were called to a home on Main Street on Saturday afternoon to check on the well-being of a person. Officers found the person inside but she was deceased.

She is being identified as 65-year-old Debra Neale of Shelburne.

A postmortem in Toronto Monday determined the death was a homicide.

Police are investigating and are asking anyone with information to call Dufferin OPP or Crime Stoppers.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
