Police continue to investigate serious crash between school bus and commercial vehicle

Perth County OPP continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding a serious crash between a school bus and a commercial vehicle.

On January 20th just before 3 p.m., officers responded alongside Perth County Paramedics and Perth East Fire Department to a crash at Perth Road 107 and Line 45. Two students were aboard the school bus that was involved, a 16-year-old passenger was taken to hospital by ORNGE Air Ambulance, and a 14-year-old student and the bus driver were taken to local hospital by ambulance. All three that were injured suffered non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the commercial vehicle was unharmed.

The roadways around the accident have since reopened following a lengthy closure, but police say they may need to be closed again at some point for the removal of one of the involved vehicles. More updates as they are made available by police.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
