Police on-scene at crash that closed roadway near Springmount

Grey-Bruce OPP are on-scene at a crash involving an OPP cruiser.

Police confirmed that at 1 p.m., they responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 21 and Grey Road 18 in the community of Springmount in Georgian Bluffs. A passenger vehicle and an OPP cruiser were involved in the crash, and both drivers were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The intersection remains closed to traffic as an investigation is underway.

Drivers should avoid the area, and more updates will be made available by police.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
