Firefighter hurt north of Elora

A firefighter was seriously hurt in a collision north of Elora.

Wellington County OPP say in a release they were called to a single vehicle crash Tuesday at around 10 a.m. on Sideroad 10.

A Centre Wellington Fire Rescue fire truck left the roadway.

Police, Centre Wellington Fire Rescue, and Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Service were all called to the scene. One firefighter suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries and was air lifted from the scene and taken to a trauma centre.

The Ministry of Labour was notified and the road was closed for about six hours.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
